Mauling In Game 2: Angels 10, Royals 2
This one was fairly interesting in early innings, with Kansas City scratching out a couple runs early in the first and second on a scoring groundout by Jose Guillen, and a sac fly by Yuniesky Betancourt, respectively. That was the last they saw of a lead, as the Angels tied it in the third on a solo shot by Robb Quinlan, his first homer of the year, and Bobby Abreu's RBI double, the first of three in the game for him.
The Angels got one more in the fifth on another Abreu double, but pounded the snot out of the Royals' bullpen for the second time, hammering their relief corps for seven runs, appropriately in the seventh; that included an Erick Aybar bases-loaded triple, and another Abreu double. Even Howie Kendrick drove in two runs on a double, and Reggie Willits got a couple hits. Erick Aybar finished 4-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored. The only downside surprise was Brandon Wood, filling in for Kendry Morales at first in the second game, and going 0-for-5 from the seven hole.

I was at both of these games, 3 rows behind the home plate end of the Angels dugout. Unbelivable, and cost me all of $43 for that ticket. Might be the most enjoyable day I've had this year. Pure serendipity that on the first day I ever step foot in Kansas City the Halos should be there for a single-ticket double-header and I have the best seat in the house for it. And then they won both!
