Robothal Rumors On The Dodgers
Things that make you go, hrm:
- Allegedly the Dodgers were "close" to getting Padres closer Heath Bell at the trade deadline, but various things happened, including the implosion of Ramon Troncoso and Ronald Belisario's elbow trouble.
- Also: the Dodgers (along with the Brewers) are supposedly interested in Vicente Padilla. I missed this a few days ago, but the Rangers DFA'd troubled starter Vicente Padilla, allegedly for clubhouse issues. Personally, I think it's due to his 2-3 record with a 6.03 ERA in his last five starts, with only one quality start among them. Oddly, he's had quality starts in half of his 18 appearances, which is a higher ratio than in all but one of his previous four seasons.
