Orem's Dillon Baird won the league batting crown in a losing effort in the Owlz' final game of the regular season. The man he was competing against, Ogden's Brian Ruggiano, got one hit, a solo homer, but failed to record a hit the rest of the night, and so after starting the day .004 behind him, Baird finished .372 to Ruggiano's .371.
