Angels Disable Izturis, Call Up Kevin Frandsen

When did the Halos sign Kevin Frandsen? (Apparently claimed on April 29th on waivers from Boston.)

Izturis is apparently having problems with his right shoulder.

I think Frandsen could be a nice spare part -- I was surprised to see Boston let him go so quickly. He was a solid prospect for the Giants before he ruptured his Achilles. Players like Michael Ryan and Kevin Frandsen seem like exactly the type of versatile almost-theres that you want a bench.
