Brewers Acquire K-Rod
Multiple tweets about the Brewers acquiring K-Rod for cash and two PTBNLs; I'll just use this Andy McCullough tweet as representative.
Matthew Pouliot at Hardball Talk notes that because Rodriguez has a $17.5M 2012 option that vests if he gets 55 games finished this year, it is likely he will be an eighth inning man for the Brewers.

Comments:
This follows very quickly on the heels of K-Rod's hiring of $cott Bora$ as his agent. I've got to believe there's some connection.
I thought Boras was his agent when he signed with the Mets, but apparently that change was reported only two days ago. Fascinating. Clearly, the Mets are not in a position to be extorted by Boras, and have served notice that extensions and expensive free agents are luxuries they cannot now afford.
Also, it seems Mr. Rod was a possible trade target of the Yankees, but the Bronx team didn't think he would submit to working the 7th or 8th innings.
