Mariners Release Hong-Chih Kuo
MLB Trade Rumors tweeted that the Mariners have released former Dodger Hong-Chih Kuo. Kuo had a 17.55 ERA in 6.2 IP, recording four strikeouts. Kuo's injury-laden Dodgers career was ended when the Dodgers non-tendered him in December. The Mariners released him from a major league contract, which was non-guaranteed.

Remember the Maine! I was in the Loge level on 6/12/07 when Hong-Chih Kuo blasted the third home run in a sequence of back-to-back-to-back home runs in the 2nd inning off of the Mets John Maine. To get that hat trick the Dodgers had a ringer batting 8th--Matt Kemp. Wilson Betemit began the home run festivities off of Maine.
As a Dodger Kuo sported a 4-1 record with 2 saves and 1 blown save in games I attended. The blown save came on 9/13/11 Gerardo Parra home run with two outs in the 7th inning. Parra was the only MLB player to hit two home runs off of Kuo.
