Action Jackson and the Homepage Curse
Young Edwin Jackson is featured on today's Dodgers.com home page, with a gaudy announcement from Jim Tracy that the #5 rotation spot is his to lose. Last year, similar announcements regarding Joe Thurston resulted in disappointment for "Joey Ballgame", who spent his 2003 mostly in Las Vegas. Since I hope for and expect great things from Ed Jackson, I certainly hope homepage positioning isn't like the Sports Illustrated curse.
