Steve Schott, owner of the Oakland A's, has given assistant GM Paul DePodesta permission to speak with the Dodgers about their open GM job.
I wonder if McCourt, having failed to land the fish he wanted, Beane, will still make the position President and General Manager available for DePodesta?
Edit: As usual, others with either (a) more time on their hands, (b) more words in their brain, or (c) possibly both have come up with something useful to say. In this instance it would be Athletics Nation, calling it a Shakespearian tragedy in the making, with PDP taking the job that Beane famously covets.
