Fire In The Three Hole? Dodgers 13, Expos 4

We gotta get out while we're young

Last night was the first time I finally decided to watch Beltre and his new power generation at the plate with the same criticality Jon has. In some ways it was a disappointment, Belly's line being

But -- if he hit .200 on the night, at least we got to see him lay off a pitch down and away, as if Day were testing the v1.0 Adrian. It wasn't much, but it's hard to complain when the guy ends the day still hitting .353 and driving in one. Sure, there were a couple errors, but like the guy who changes his order after it's been sent to the kitchen, it's easy to get overcharged at the hot corner.

And then, yeah, Beltre in the three hole.

Tracy has finally awakened.

This game was like watching the mean kid on the block pull wings off butterflies. The Expos are that bad, that lost, and probably, in the clubhouse, that demoralized. You can't tell: did Ishii pitch another brilliant game, or did he encounter an awful Montreal lineup? But, yeah, you have to get your wins against the bad teams. The problem is, this is a bad AAA team.
