I was at a play when this travesty went down. Colón's ERA is now higher than Ortiz's. Get this yukfest:
"I don't know if he's throwing as hard as before," [Indians shortstop Omar] Vizquel said. "When he was younger he was throwing much harder. He's pitching now, not overpowering people. He's throwing a lot of sinkers and changeups."... except, Omar, that what Bart's doing these days isn't called pitching but throwing. Too bad we couldn't invent some nice-sounding injury and throw this guy on the DL for a few weeks and send him to the Betty Ford Clinic for Overweight and Ineffective Pitchers. Unlike Richard, I can't say he's dead to me because I have to keep checking the box scores every now and then.
