Snakes Bite Brenly
Buh bye, Bob. By not a few accounts by even Diamondbacks partisans, the Snakes won despite Brenly. More's available on the Snakes' website, but as The Transaction Guy observes, the manager takes the fall when the team stops winning. There's an object lesson for Mike Scioscia here: even a World Series championship isn't proof against getting fired in a losing season, especially if you've got payroll to meet and expectations to fill.
