Pickoff Moves
Twins 10, Angels 0
What'd I say? What'd I say? This team isn't getting it done against teams that are really going to win their division. Six freakin' double plays. Six. God, that's ugly. The Twins have heard of "situational hitting". Elsewhere throughout the league, it's called "swing at anything, make an out". Take a pitch, dummies. It's more democratic.Dodgers 3, Pirates 2
Okay, so my earlier projections should have been tempered by the fact that it's damn easy to overwork Gagné. Three innings plus a day off do not a rested supercloser make, and fortunately, we didn't eat a loss, but for once I was grateful we had some cushion for "Game-Not-Quite-Over" to work with. Penny, on the other hand, pitched masterfully despite an early scare that he might have developed a blister. Fantastic fieldwork again by Bradley, timely hitting by Green and Werth, and just enough offense to get us through the day with the victory. Good stuff against a Pirates team that's not as awful as you might think.Mascots That Ain't Gettin' It Done
The Rally Rabbit. The Devil Raymond. The Rally Squirrel. Geesh, even the San Diego Chicken sounds better. No Love, I Tell You
What, an MLB.com article on pitching coaches that doesn't mention Jim Colborn? For shame, doc.Batter My Heart
Paulie's wife is six months pregnant. Talk about sucky timing. Oh, and they lost to the Snakes 5-3 tonight. Jeez, how did that happen? Paulie even went 3-3.Newer› ‹Older
