The Blame Game: Braves 6, Astros 5
Ahead 5-2 in the second with Roger Clemens on the mound, you'd think that was money in the bank.
The Braves played Jesse James to the Astros today, teaching me a lesson about changing my mind after watching just one game. So, who's the scapegoat?
- Phil Garner, for removing a struggling Clemens in the fifth?
- Phil Garner, again, for his pointless and dangerous double-switch in the sixth?
- Gerry Hunsicker, for trading Octavio Dotel and Billy Wagner in the space of a year, requiring Garner to make risky moves for unreliable relievers in critical late-game situations?
