Confirmed: Morales Signed

On angelsbaseball.com:
ANAHEIM -- Cuban defector Kendry Morales, a power-hitting youngster described by some baseball observers as the best position player to come out of his country in decades, has reached agreement on a six-year contract with the Angels.

Morales' agent, David Valdes told MLB.com on Wednesday that his client has agreed to a deal that will secure him a spot on the 40-man roster.

"Kendry projects to be a strong hitter in the middle of a Major League lineup," Angels general manager Bill Stoneman said in a news release. "As a young player, he was a major force on an very good Cuban national team."

Depending on the size of the contract, this could spell the end of Jered Weaver as an Angel.
