Angels Interested In Robb Nen?
Whether it's Nen's agent blowing smoke up the Rockies' dress or not, the idea that the Angels have interest in Robb Nen and his gimpy shoulder should be taken with a few large grains of salt. At least this Denver Post article says the Angels don't want him anywhere near the ninth inning. The Angels' other options in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings are somewhat shaky: face facts, Esteban Yan's presence in the 2005 bullpen is not a sign of strength. With fewer quality pitchers (no analogue to the 2002 version of Ben Weber, Troy Percival gone), this makes sense only if the Angels can sign him for league minimum or a minor league contract.
