BBWA Elects Sandberg, Boggs To HoF
The Baseball Writers of America have elected Wade Boggs and Ryne Sandberg to the Hall of Fame, with 474 and 393 votes respectively. Rich's fave, Bert Blyleven, placed seventh with 211 votes. Former Dodgers Tommy John and Steve Garvey respectively garnered 10th (123 votes) and 11th (106 votes) place finishes.
