Pierzynski Garners Chisox Bid
Free agent catcher and former Giant A. J. Pierzynski got an offer from the Chicago White Sox. No dollar figures or years yet, but the amount is estimated to be less than the $3.5M he made last year.Daryle Ward Gets Non-Guaranteed Contract
Seems the Pirates have figured out a way to motivate former Dodger (and Krispy Kreme brother) Daryle Ward: give him a non-guaranteed contract. The club can pull the plug on him at any time and only owe him a quarter of his $950,000 salary if he doesn't do well in spring training.
