Careful What You Wish For: Charles Johnson Becomes A D-Ray
Charles Johnson, the subject of an attempted midseason trade last year by Paul DePodesta, was traded to the Red Sox in the dump that brought Byung-Hyun Kim to Colorado, and subsequently released. The Devil Rays recently picked up the former Dodger; they are paying him league minimum. Johnson, wishing to dispel any errant rumors of his death, noted "I definitely can still play ... I still have life in me." Good luck, Charles.
