Nakamura May Void His Contract
According to the Daily Yomiuri, Norihiro Nakamura may void his Dodgers contract now that he has failed to make the big club.
"I put up better numbers than my rivals, I can't understand why I was dropped," the 31-year-old infielder said.According to dodgers.com, Paul DePodesta said he would allow Nakamura to go to another major league team if he wants to:"If I have to go to Triple-A, I want to be there without quibbling."
He said he would weigh all his options, and did not rule out a return to Japan if he receives an offer from a club here.
Nakamura did not give the Dodgers a decision on Sunday, but he played in the final exhibition game against the Los Angeles Angels.

Dodgers general manager Paul DePodesta and manager Jim Tracy said the decision [to cut Nakamura from the team] was designed to make room for a 12th pitcher on the roster and give Nakamura opportunities to face various types of pitchers rather than being kept on the bench in the majors.
"We have so much respect for him and for what he's accomplished. We'll do the right thing if he has a better opportunity somewhere else," DePodesta said. "I wouldn't stand in his way if there's an opportunity to play in the Major Leagues and we couldn't match that opportunity."
