Ombudsman: More On The Cubs ST Announcing
Whilst out in Arizona at spring training, I joined Al Yellon in his decrying the lack of complete information about late-inning substitutions being passed on by the Hohokam stadium announcer. He recently replied, both by e-mail and at Al's site; it turns out that in spring training, "I don't get the changes from Dusty, they come from the Cubs Media Relations Staff." As well, they don't let him talk over the game, which strikes me as very odd, but the world is full of strange things. Still, why make it all a secret? Nonetheless, I thank Tim for his eventual reply.
