Dodgers Roster Moves
- Penny Shines In Rehab Start: Yesterday, I highlighted another terrible start by Edwin Jackson, who doesn't seem any closer to the majors than he did last year, and the fantastic efforts of Dustin Moseley. Today, in happier news for Dodger fans, I'm pleased to relay an e-mail report by Daniel Zappala that Brad Penny's rehab start for High-A Vero Beach was successful, going five innings, striking out three, walking one, giving up only two hits and a single run.
- Eric Gagné is "very, very close" to being able to throw catch again.
- LHP Frank Brooks was claimed off waivers by the Braves after the Dodgers brought up Norihiro Nakamura.
- Jayson Werth expects to have his broken wrist healed up completely within the next two weeks.
