Via Dodger Thoughts, this Kansas City Star column about managers measured from several different perspectives. Mike Scioscia comes out looking pretty terrible, but Jim Tracy lands atop the list. Scioscia suffers in part because of collapses of the '03 team (due in large part to injuries), blaming the manager for the GM's mistakes (the GIDP/E ratio, which tends to favor good-fielding teams in front of groundball staffs), and squandered baserunner percentage (okay, got me on that one). I don't think Scioscia's getting an even break with those metrics, but it's all there for you to read.

It's not a big deal -- go ahead and do whatever you'd like. I'm not a huge Shawn Green fan, and don't care how Dodger fans respond. I just want to know why.
Booing former team members is not standard operating procedure for most fan bases unless said team member said something unseemly about said fan base or said fan base's maternal heritage. Green's career with the Dodgers didn't end on a high note, but it sure started out that way, and he seemed to have good relations with the LA community.
Green seems to be getting booed because he a) didn't want to get traded, and b) got traded.

Adam -- last year when Shef came in wearing a Yankees uni, he got booed loudly. I doubt anyone even remembers Counsell was a Dodger at one time.

I don't know if there are any Barry Bonds fans out there, however, personally I, hope he retires from MLB, as I've heard a lot of comments from fans, they feel as I do that he's made MLB a scandal.
