The Photographic Evolution Of Katie Brownell
The story of 11-year-old Katie Brownell and her perfect Little League game has climbed right up the journalistic food chain, so that now she's made the New York Times. With each version, we hear different tales, and increasingly taller; in the Times account, she struck out all opposition batters (the Newsday story had her striking out all but one). And "taller" applies literally, too, because Katie is 5'8", "taller than any boy on her team." But what really struck me was the difference in the two images from two different newspapers:
In the Newsday picture on the left, she's just a kid. In the Times photo on the right, she's Geena Davis, Jr. Wow.
Comments:
Why don't you actually read the Newsday article before you criticize the Times. There were two games, a one-hitter were she struck out all but two players, and a perfect game where she struck everyone. Good thing she pitches better than you read . . .

Here's the original story in Newsday, which appeared according to their story clock at 12:53, as opposed to the AP story, which appeared at 1:07 (both were published on May 18). Seeing as how I provided a link back to the older story (and even quoted the relevant section), Mr. Anon, I suggest you learn how to read, and further bite down your less-than-civil tongue before you've done your homework.
