We Could Be Heroes: Tales From The Minors
- ... Or, We Could Be Zeroes: Kevin Gregg, carrying a 2-0 record with a 1.96 ERA into today's game with Giants' affiliate Fresno, got clobbered on ten earned runs, on 14 hits, but surprisingly only one walk and seven strikeouts. He now sports a 4.88 ERA.
- How's That Shoulder, Odalis? Las Vegas squished Tacoma 11-1 in a rehab appearance for Odalis Perez, who threw two scoreless innings, striking out three and walking one. Update: OP says he's ready to go Sunday.
- We Could Be Zeroes, Part 2: What an ugly loss for Jacksonville: 20-2 at the hands of the Montgomery Biscuits. Chad Billingsley, Baseball America's number two Dodger prospect this year, ate the loss and seven earned runs, six hits (one of which was a homer), three walks, and six strikeouts. The game was somewhat meaningless in that the Suns had clinched a playoff spot Thursday.
