Perspective On The Lameness Of The NL West

At present, if the Padres were in the NL East, they would be in third place. If they were in the NL Central, they would be in second place, ten and a half games back of the Cards.

In either of those two divisions, they would be two and a half games back of the Braves for the Wildcard.
