Roster Moves
- The Tigers have DL'd Troy Percival, with a partial muscle tear in his forearm.
- In the latest merry-go-round of the Texas bullpen, the Rangers called up Erasmo Ramirez (8-4, 4.04 ERA in the bigs), replacing Juan Dominguez.
- The Houston Astros signed Koby Clemens, son of Roger Clemens. I don't know about you, but do I smell a multiyear deal for the Rocket in Houston?
Comments:
Considering Clemens's performance this year, can the Astros afford a multi-year contract for the Rocket? :P
Likely he'll sign another one year deal. Speculation I've heard is that they're dangling the carrot of letting Cody attend Spring Training, and the opportunity to play ball with his son will be too much for Clemens to turn down.
On the other hand, we've heard for years now how the Rocket would like for his mother to be alive when he's inducted into the Hall of Fame. If that's gonna happen, he's gonna have to retire *sometime*, and with her being ill, retirement soon would seem likely.
