Erstad Redeployment To Center A Possibility
At this late date in the season, I have to believe that it makes sense, especially with Steve Finley unable to show he can hit at all: the Times reports that the Angels are thinking about moving Gold Glover Darin Erstad back to centerfield. Figgins is good, but Erstad is All-Universe... when he's healthy. With Kotchman showing he's got some pop in his bat, the move would rotate Kotchman to first base, and probably cement Figgins at third until McPherson comes back, whenever that happens.
