Henery The Ninth: Pirates 9, Dodgers 4

I'm Henery the Eighth, I am
Henery the Eigth, I am, I am
I got married to the widow next door
She's been married seven times before
And every one was an Henry (Henry)
She wouldn't have a Willy or a Sam (no Sam)
I'm her eighth old man, I'm Henry
Henry the eighth I am
-- Murray/Weston, 1911
Leading one to wonder as to the nature of the lady in the song: is she just a garden variety matrimoniac a la the Gabor sisters, or a serial killer? Either way, it certainly seems to be a bad lapse of judgement to get involved with someone like that, and last night's Dodgers game -- one which I thankfully missed because of our attendance at last night's equally abysmal Angels game -- was a "caught her cheating on me again prior to the wedding" moment, yet foolishly I continue following the Dodgers, on the off chance they might win something, such as a game against a bottom dwelling team. No such luck.

Understatement of the Week Award:

Tracy felt Perez wasn't as sharp as he could be.
-- George Von Benko
Not with five earned runs against the Pirates he wasn't. Sheesh.
