Mediocrity Bites: Dodgers 3, Padres 1
Any playoff-bound team wants to be crushing their cellar-dwelling opposition, as much a test of testosterone as of quality. The Padres, in that regard, should be thinking that anything less than a sweep of the Dodgers is somewhat embarrassing, especially since Tracy refuses -- normally -- to play his best players. Choi got a single, and Willie Aybar made a real statement in his first start, going 2-3 with a double and a walk. But at least he's not being blocked by anyone, not unless you consider Mike Edwards "blocking". No, probably not.
