2005-09-10: Salt Lake did not play
2005-09-10: Tulsa vs. Arkansas: Missing report #
Arkansas had the day off again, but Midland blasted San Antonio 12-2, failing to score in only three frames. Jeremy Brown, of Moneyball fame, went 2-3 with a pair of walks and a double. I'm not sure when the finals start, but I imagine it will be Sunday or Monday.
2005-09-10: Rancho Cucamonga did not play
2005-09-10: Cedar Rapids did not play
2005-09-10: AZL Angels did not play

Trumbo: 0-4, 2 K
Smith: 2-3, 1 RBI, 1 K
Adenhart: 6.0 IP, 0 ER, 3 H, 7 K, 1 BB, 0.00 ERA
Pete: (BS, 1)(L, 0-1) (in relief), 0.1 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 0 K, 0 BB, 0.00 ERA
A wild eighth in Ogden: Everything was going the Owlz way up to the eighth inning, when the pitching just imploded. Nick Adenhart went six with only three hits and no runs, but in the eighth inning, reliever Mike Pete threw away the ball on a sac bunt attempt by Adam Godwin. His mistake was compounded by another throwing error, this time by 3B Dallas Morris, plating two Raptors. A Russell Mitchell single would send David Sutherland home. Pete then plunked Jason Mooneyham, and was removed for Rafael Cruz Chavez. Though Russell Mitchell would get nailed trying to steal home, the play advanced Mooneyham to third. Catcher Brett Martinez then gave up a passed ball, and Mooneyham would score. Ogden slammed the door shut in the top of the ninth by getting a groundout and striking out two after a leadoff single by Hainley Statia.

The final game of the best-of-three series will be played on Sunday at Ogden, with the winner playing the Helena Brewers.

William Juarez pitched a complete game shutout for the very impressive victory. The Suns will meet the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx, who also swept their division series, beginning on Monday, September 14.
