Meta: Hiatus

We're heading out to see Wrigley for my first time (though not the missus'), through Saturday. As a result, 6-4-2 may be on hiatus through the weekend, though I promise (a) to get pictures, and (b) to at least try and find a platform to write from, no matter how frustrating.

Comments:
Awesome - have a great trip!

That's fine. Don't bother looking me up to go grab a beer or anything. I mean, I only live about 10 blocks from Wrigley, but whatever.

I highly recommend the left field bleacher seats. Sit near the cameraman and have your VCR set to record yourself on WGN.

as someone who used to live walking distance to wrigly, enjoy!

bleachers for sure. grab an old style too. maybe go to southport lanes afterwards?

Yeah, the bleachers are great if you don't care about actually watching the baseball game and instead prefer to be continually asked who the Cubs are playing, if that team is any good, what just happened, and what's the score.
The only good thing about Wrigley was how its growing popularity among Trixies over the past decade allowed me to double the price I asked for my property there.

I'm with Chris. It was fun the first time, but it just doesn't feel like a major league baseball stadium to me.

i happened to be passing through chicago when the dodgers were in town a couple years ago, and i was pretty obviously the only dodger fan in the bleachers. i was sitting next to a couple of classic chicago dudes (chubby, shirtless, polish looking guys with short brown hair & moustaches), and by the 5th inning we had sorta made friends, and i bought them some beer and they bought me some mai tais, and we were chatting. it was a good time. and wrigley was gorgeous.

and the dodgers won.

If you get a chance, try the breakfasts at Lou Mitchell's by the train station. Amazing omelettes.
