Tarnish: Rockies 6, Dodgers 4

Edwin Jackson, on last night's loss:
"The defense had nothing to do with the loss tonight," said Jackson. "It's my job to pitch and I didn't do it tonight. I didn't get the job done. I made mistakes and they make you pay for it. I just didn't throw strikes. Whether I rushed or overthrew or whatever you want to say, I didn't throw strikes."
Vincent Bonsignore, of the Daily News on Jackson:
Jackson, once the jewel of the Dodgers' farm system, has frustrated the Dodgers with his inability to consistently throw strikes.
It's not time to use the "s" word now, "suspect", but it maybe is time to suggest that he needs more time at AA before he's really ready. He had two good seasons in A and AA ball. That's it. TINSTAAPP, people. It's clear now that his callup was premature and ill-advised, just as it's clear that the Dodgers' season is over.
