Minor League Miscellany
In the absence of the Minor League Scorebook posts, some notes about minor leaguers from here and there:
- MILB.com has a good, short article about Willy Aybar:
"Willy, since he's been up here, has shown discipline at home plate that Jerry said sometimes wasn't there (in Triple-A)," Tracy said. "He's taken very good at-bats. There's been several at-bats where he's gone very deep in the count ... (and) he's taken significant walks."
- Poor Howie Kendrick: they're forcing him to write a blog. Weren't his performances in Rancho and Arkansas enough to keep him away from these kinds of duties? Update for Stephen: that was intended to be ironic sarcasm. I have no idea whether he likes doing this kind of thing or not...
- Another MILB.com story, this time on top minor league hitting prospects of 2005. No surprise but that Brandon Wood, Kendry Morales, Howie Kendrick, and Andy LaRoche get nods.
- FutureAngels has the Arizona Instructional League Roster and schedule, not the AFL as mentioned earlier.
