Two Games

Rockies 7, Dodgers 6

Third verse, same as the first. Swept. Boo.

Recap

Angels 5, Mariners 3

Headline: "Bullpen running on vapors"

You can put that one in the No Kidding, Inspector Clouseau file. Colon left with back trouble in the fifth, just enough for the win but not enough for my comfort, as it meant the game got handed early to the bullpen. I stopped paying attention to the game after Shields got into it in the eighth and gave up second base on a wild pitch; fortunately, Shields was out of it two batters later -- thank God -- and the Angels held on to support the two-run lead. But it was never easy, and who would think that, at this point, the Angels have a worse bullpen than Seattle.

Update 9/5: What an idiot. Kotchman goes 3-4 with a three-run homer and I don't say anything? Jebus.

Comments:
The Angel bulpen is tired period!Mike's goal was to get the starters to go seven innings and let the three amigos finish things out well with percy gone it was to much to ask of those three guys and lets face it after Brendon,Scott and Frankie the Angel bullpen were just average now with Kelvim back this will help the bullpen now if the Angel hitters can get some timley hits the Angels have a chance to win it all!
