Five Untrue Things About The Angels
Matt Welch tells it like it is about the Angels. Let's hope Mike does pull the plug on Finley; last thing we need is a weenie popup in a critical postseason at bat.

The guy's assessments are pretty on, though. Angels don't have a good defensive outfield. Darrin Erstad is a gold glove version of David Eckstein. And Vlad is a much more disciplined hitter than perception allows.
I thought his comments on Scoscia were interesting, though. But I never really understood why the Angels used to be a high walk, high OBP team (which seems to be what Scoscia preached), and then that completely changed 2-3 years ago.
