An Insomniac Throws Darts

Sure, a 91-loss season leaves a club open to plenty of abuse, but this?
Jamie McCourt, his power-hungry wife who wears the Size 0 mini-skirts, is making a majority of the decisions alongside her key henchman, senior vice-president of public affairs Howard Sunkin, whose baseball background is the same as Jamie's dress size. His background is in public affairs and politics.

Team McCourt is running the team without much thought to the product, which is hardly an unusual tactic in the business world, where certain theories are believed to be universal. The McCourt's goal is to squeeze every dollar out of the franchise for their own benefit, and if winning is a byproduct, great. If not? As long as the money keeps coming in, it's tolerable.

Wow -- I'd like to know his source for knowing how Jamie suddenly took over the GM desk. I can sure agree with Keisser on the senselessness of firing the just-hired John Olguin, but asserting Jamie McCourt makes roster selections rather than Paul DePodesta -- well, where does that come from?
News: Dodgers search for a manager continues.

Muse: Really, it doesn't matter who the Dodgers hire. There are two requirements for Jim Tracy's replacement drink DePodesta's Kool-Aid and work cheap.

Wouldn't we all be better served if the manager and general manager were on the same page regarding player development? How many more Hee Seop Choi's would Tracy have failed to play given the opportunity? And exactly what big-league managerial experience did Walter Alston have prior to taking over the reins in Brooklyn?

Must. Get. Back. To. Sleep.

Comments:
Jamie McCourt gets what she deserves: You don't boast of having a size-0 mini-skirt to the press unless you expect it to be published. Tipper Gore never revealed her skirt size.

Keisser, as usual, is quite astute about the wool the Dodgers are attempting to pull over the flocks' eyes. Kool-Aid drinkers, indeed.

Are you Bill Plaschke, perchance?

Can't be. He uses more than one sentence per paragraph. :)

Obviously it's someone who is close to Tipper Gore and and a voracious reader of the news who knows for a fact that Tipper Gore never revealed her skirt size. Oh my god, maybe it's Tipper herself!

I was making the point in relations to Jamie's hiring of Tipper Gore's press secretary to head Dodgers communications. Indeed.

Yet you seem so sure that Tipper Gore never revealed her skirt size, why does it matter whether someone has done that at all?

I actually read one of Tipper Gore's books about life as the Second Lady. She wrote a lot about her problems with gaining weight. She never mentioned her size, but she said was heavy.

Jamie McCourt is a size 0 in part because she's very short. That's just the way she is.

I'm gonna tell all my friends that the guys on this baseball blog were discussing dress sizes.

And the World Series isn't even over yet.
