It's True, If Unfair
Joe Florkowski notes in passing that the Angels have outdrawn the Dodgers this year, but only if you count the postseason games.
Comments:
It's not unfair. It's not the Angels fault the Dodgers sucked so hard that they couldn't make the post-season with in a division where you only needed 83 wins.
Unfair in the sense that the Angels got more games to do it in, not that the Dodgers didn't have a decent chance -- better than most teams, in fact -- to get to the postseason.
One could argue that the nearness of the goal is one of the things that has kept the NL West teams so bad.

You want to talk about fair, don't forget that Dodger stadium seats 10,000 more fans than does the Big A. Going by percentage of capacity, the Angels have the Dodgers beat 93 to 79.
And wow - 7 million fans in LA and Anaheim, plus 2.8m more in SD. How amazing is that?

Wow... A stadium that's ~15% smaller has 15% higher %-capacity while drawing about the same number of fans. Imagine that.
I don't think the Dodgers will ever get up to 93% capacity. For them to do that they would need to draw an average of 52080 a game, or 4.22 million per year. Even the Yankees don't get that kind of gate.

FWIW, I'm kinda surprised that LA people would actually drive all the way to Disneyland in order to watch the Angels over their local Dodgers.
