Minor League Update
- Howie Kendrick went 3-5 and Brandon Wood homered in the 11-6 victory of the Surprise Scorpions over the Peoria Saguaros. Jered Weaver struck out six of seven batters faced, surrendering only one hit. The previous day, Kendrick went 3-5 with two doubles, Kendry Morales went 2-4, and Brandon Wood went 1-4 with a home run, the Scorpions pasting Peoria 14-2.
- Tony Abreu went 2-5 with an RBI in an 8-7 win over Mesa, Tony Abreu going 2-5 and James Loney 0-2. Phoenix is 2-0 so far; their first win was an 11-6 win over Mesa in which Andy LaRoche went 2-5, and Matt Kemp went 3-4 with a double, a triple, and three RBIs.

Comments:
The Dodger prospects play for Phoenix not peoria. They are also 2-0 and in their first win Kemp went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and Laroche went 2 for 5 with an RBI as well.
