Former USC Trojan Coach Rod Dedeaux Dies

AP reports that former USC Trojan baseball coach Rod Dedeaux died at age 91, of complications from a stroke in December. Coaching 'SC to a record 11 championships, he had a career 1,332-571-11 record, a record number of wins until Cliff Gustafson of U. Texas passed him in 1994. For one 37 year stretch, USC did not have a single losing season. He played in the majors for two games, both with the 1935 Dodgers.

USC has a more complete biography online.
