Brian Clevinger Shoots Team USA vs. Giants
Brian Clevinger sent me more photos from Arizona, this time of Team USA vs. the Giants:
With Team USA playing the Giants in Scottsdale and Roger Clemens scheduled to start with along with a host of other guys who normally do Spring Training in Florida, it was obvious what i was to do today. Last night i got some great seats from the Giants internet site about 7 rows back of the Team USA dougout, so i took my two daughters and Dad. It was very thrilling to see Jeter, the Rocket, Damon, A-Rod, Chipper Jones, Junior Griffey, Varitek, Dontrelle and on it goes. We were a few rows back of Bob Watson, Joe Garigiola, and the other Team USA brass. Fred Couples threw out the first pitch, and we saw Scott Shields of course, but not in action though. Steve Finley had a nice game for the Giants. We stayed about half the game before the sun got to my girls and dad, and I also needed to be in at work at 4pm.For the game itself, Clemens got through his two innings unscathed, then Team USA posted up 6 runs in the top of the 3rd. Al Leiter came in and gave 4 right back to the Giants, then the Giants made it 6-5 an inning later. Chipper Jones and Jeter started on the left side of the infield. A bit later, Michael Young and A-Rod came in. Damon was in left and Junior in Center. A bit later, Michael Young and A-Rod came in.
Just an awesome sunny March day of baseball in Arizona - one of those events i'll always remember.
