Dave Ross Traded To Cincinnati
San Diego traded former Dodger backup catcher Dave Ross to the Reds, for RHP Bobby Basham. (Gad, what a name for a pitcher... even worse than Walker.) I liked Dave as a Dodger, but he never did live up to his first year in the uniform.
Comments:
I first became aware of Mr.
Ball Four following his performance in a game against K.C. on 07/18/04, when he lost by walking the bases loaded in the bottom of the tenth inning.
He was pulled, and Aaron Fultz gave up the game-winning hit. But if you're named Balfour, and you're a pitcher, you are destined to have that happen at least once.
