OT: Ugly

So the fern by the front door finally got an attentive set of parents, and we have about a half dozen house finch chicks cheeping like mad in the mornings. Like the Angels' youngsters, we can expect some ugliness. They'll learn to fly soon enough.

i've had this happen to me too - but we had pigeons. at first, we were like "how cute". then their "gifts" just got overwhelming when they start walking around everywhere... hopefully, it won't be as bad since they're much smaller...
 
We have a few pigeons, but mostly we have their distant cousins, the mourning doves. There's a pair that flies off every morning when I go to walk the dogs that must nest in the rose bushes outside our front door.

Finches are much less messy, though.
