Jered Weaver Might Get Colón's Next Start
The Times reports that Jered Weaver might get Bartolo Colón's next start, Saturday in Toronto. Of course, I'll be in Arkansas that weekend, scouting Brandon Wood. Reports and photos to come. In other news:
- Juan Rivera will get a rehab start with Rancho today.
- Howie Kendrick continues working out at first and third; infield coach Alfredo Griffin says, "I can put him at first and third. I'm not afraid." That makes one of us. As for Kendrick, he's open to just about any position, so long as he's on the 25-man:
"Things happen every day in baseball," he said. "One day I might be an outfielder. I'm open to moving anywhere."
