Minor League Scorebook
News
- Via Jon, the Dodgers are keeping the door cracked for Luke Hochevar; go over there for the summary, but I wouldn't be surprised if this goes either way.
- Here's an interesting projection for Brandon Wood by Chris Constancio, who runs FirstInning.com. He forecasts Wood to be a slightly above-average shortstop, or an average third baseman, mainly on the strength of similarity scores to a number of players who had outstanding bursts of power at single-A who then fell back to earth. Wood's been doing a lot of that lately, and did not start in tonight's Travs game.
- I found out about Chris because of this Hardball Times article about overlooked hitting prospects. Names that appear on his list include the Dodgers' Matt Kemp, and the Angels' Sean Rodriguez.

Ah, something to look forward to. Nick Adenhart goes 7-0 in the Midwest League and for once doesn't get as many strikeouts as he has innings pitched. Whatever, expect him to be at Rancho before the year's over.
