Report: Kendry Morales Up, Bulger Down

Brian Wilson wrote to inform me that he heard on ESPN Radio that Kendry Morales has been called up from AAA Salt Lake, and Jason Bulger will be sent back down. No confirmation yet.

Update: confirmation from Rotoworld.

Update 2: and via MLB.com.

Comments:
This move makes sense. At least against AL teams, they don't need a 12-man staff. This gives them more 1B/3B/DH/OF options, with the potential to give a break either to a struggling Figgins or a struggling Kennedy (who at least is still playing with some passion, drawing some walks and playing good defense).

Shaky 1st outing notwithstanding, I'd also like to see Bulger instead of Yan, whose pretty much useless at this point except for mop-up work.

As Jon asked earlier today, what do you do with two janitors?

I'd still rather have Bulger. Maybe he doesn't make bad situations worse. Maybe, with a few other changes, there's less need for janitorial work, and more opportunities for more skilled employees? For that matter, J.C. Romero has reportedly been spotted being fitted for some dark blue coveralls.

I think he packed the pair he got while in Minnesota.
