Dallas McPherson Disabled, Aybar Called Up
Dallas McPherson was placed on the 15-day DL retroactive to June 22, with back spasms. Erick Aybar was called up from Salt Lake to replace him on the roster.

Great. Just great.
This is not his first time with back spasms, and surely not his last. It's unfortunate; he was swinging a pretty good bat over the past month, and showing a heck of a lot more plate discipline. Doesn't help his trade value any, either.
A long season gets longer. So, do we now have the joy of Maicier Izturis starting at 3B with Desmond Dechone in CF, or will the latter once again take his turn at the hot corner with Tommy Murphy gaining the starting nod in CF?
