Escobar Blows It: Diamondbacks 9, Angels 7
There's really no other way to spin this: Kelvim Escobar, who fortunately has kept his mouth shut about his lack of run support this year, just plain had a bad outing. And nothing else in this game mattered. After this game, the temptation to call up Jered Weaver gets a little greater, especially in light of his 14-K game on Friday; but I stay my hand from such recommendations, knowing the Blue Jays' inability to keep Kelvim in a stable role helped contribute to his inconsistency there.
