Oakland's 9th-rated prospect Shane Komine and two relievers paid the Bees back for Friday night's adventure with Jered Weaver as they six-hit Salt Lake on their way to a shutout.
2006-06-25: Arkansas 4, Corpus Christi 5 #
Peel, A: 2-4, 1 RBI

Matt Pali hit a ninth-inning solo homer to bring the game close, but it wasn't enough. Hunter Pence hit a two-run shot off starter Chris Hunter; Matt Pali also homered in the loss. And look at this: Dan Davidson working out of the pen.
2006-06-25: Rancho Cucamonga did not play
2006-06-25: Cedar Rapids 6, Fort Wayne 7 #
Renz: 2-6, 2 K
Statia: 3-6, 1 RBI, 1 K
Wipke: 2-6
Davies: 1-4, 2 BB, 1 K
Martinez: 3-6, 2 RBI, 1 K
Rosario: 1-6, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 K

Anderson Rosario, formerly with the Bees earlier in the season for no reason I can tell, homered in this one, though it was his only hit of the game. Bobby Mosebach and Hainley Statia committed a pair of errors that led to three unearned runs. Tim Mattison gave up a walkoff solo homer to William Venable in the 13th.
2006-06-25: Orem 13, Casper 3 #
Nieves: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 3B, 2 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K
Phillips: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Sales: 2-5, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 1 K

Gronkowski: 1-3, 1 RBI, 2 BB, 1 K
Bell: (W, 2-0), 6.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 6 H, 4 K, 0 BB, 1.64 ERA
Trevor Bell had another good outing as Julio Perez supported him with five RBIs partly on a pair of two-run, one-out homers. The Rockies went through six pitchers to finish this game, as starter Ronny Lopez didn't get out of the second.
2006-06-25: AZL Angels 4, AZL Giants 10 #
Sweeney: 2-4, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 K
Conger: 0-3, 1 BB, 3 K

De Los Santos: 2-3
Diaz: (L, 0-1), 6.0 IP, 5 R, 4 ER, 7 H, 2 K, 0 BB, 1 HR, 6.00 ERA
The Giants just clobbered the Angels, with Amalio Diaz, who had been doing pretty well in Rancho, reacted to his demotion and the 100° F gametime temps by surrendering five runs, four earned. Hank Conger DH'd, and Mark Sweeney homered and drove in three.
2006-06-25: Las Vegas 4, Tucson 5 #
Aybar: 1-5, 1 K
Loney: 1-4, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 1 K
Carrara: 0-1
Guzman: 2-5, 1 2B, 1 K
Young, D: 0-5, 1 K
Hanrahan: 1-1
Stults: 5.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 6 H, 2 K, 1 BB, 4.72 ERA
Hull: 2.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 H, 3 K, 2 BB, 1 HR, 3.73 ERA
Carrara: (L, 2-1) (in relief), 1.2 IP, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 K, 1 BB, 4.03 ERA
Oh, Gio! The Angels just won't stop plaguing the Dodgers at the AAA level, as former Halo prospect Alberto Callaspo's walkoff RBI single off Giovanni Carrara ended this game. Eric Stults pitched a pretty good first five, but the bullpen lost it. Chris Carter went 2-3 with a homer for the Sidewinders.
2006-06-25: Jacksonville 0, Carolina 2 (Completed Early: Rain) #
Hu: 2-3, 1 2B
Abreu: 0-2
Muegge: (L, 6-5), 5.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 5 H, 3 K, 1 BB, 1 HR, 4.00 ERA
Called after six innings, Danny Muegge actually didn't pitch too badly, but the Mudcats blanked the Suns.
2006-06-25: Vero Beach 6, Jupiter 2 #

Pimentel: 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 K, 0 BB, 4.43 ERA
The Dodgers never trailed in this one, as Cory Dunlap and Xavier Paul both produced solo homers. Christopher Malone had a good outing, and Julio Pimentel came back from his recent beatdown and pitched a scoreless inning in relief.
2006-06-25: Savannah vs. Columbus: Postponed: Rain #
2006-06-25: Ogden 5, Idaho Falls 6 #
Bell: 2-3, 2 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Rivera: 2-3, 1 RBI
Castillo, J: 5.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 4 K, 2 BB, 0.00 ERA
Coleman: 2.0 IP, 2 R, 0 ER, 3 H, 2 K, 1 BB, 0.00 ERA
Ramirez: (BS, 1)(L, 0-1) (in relief), 1.0 IP, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 3.00 ERA
It was the bullpen in the parlor with the lead pipe that did did it! Okay, so maybe I don't have a Clue, but neither did Miguel Ramirez, who blew his first save, giving up a walkoff single to Alvi Morel in the bottom of the 10th.
