Thinking Dodger Thoughts: Dodgers 10, Pirates 4

Oliver Perez, cipher, took the mound last night and did about what you'd think at this point in his career for a guy who lost ten miles per hour on his fastball, i.e. humiliation. It was a fitting return to Los Angeles for Jim Tracy, who I used to defend until I realized just what a gloryhog he's become, not to mention a refusal to accept his role in the bad that happens to the team.

I don't have a lot to say about the game, as it was a smashup from the fourth inning on, the only real bad news — if you can even really call it that, in some ways — was Brett Tomko leaving the game early because a strained calf. The boys from Dodger Thoughts all came out under the stars, and with a good crowd in a great park, combined with a Dodger victory, how can you possibly go wrong?

And a shoutout to Josh Rawitch, the Dodgers' Public Relations Director who came up to our group and said hello. I was shocked to discover he actually knew who I was. I'm not sure if this is a good thing; they might never let me into the park again!
