Nomar, Pierzynski Win Final All-Star Vote
Nomar Garciaparra and A.J. Pierzynski won the final spots in their respective leagues' All-Star rosters. Apparently the White Sox' campaign to get A.J. in was called — and I'm not making this up — "Punch A.J.".
Comments:
Nomar deserved the spot...leading the league in hitting and all that is kinda all-star worthy, after all.
But Pierzynski? What a travesty. The spot belongs to Liriano or Hafner, without a doubt.
